San Luis Obispo

Worth visiting!

college yuppi town

lived there for a year. really pretty but the people take a long time to warm up to you (if at all). maybe that’s because they see a lot of students come and go.

Pasadena

Worth visiting!

home of the rosebowl

my sister used to live here so i would go to visit lots. there is so much to do in pasadena. there’s old town where you have great shopping and great restaurants. there’s the downtown where there’s more shopping and then there’s always a good play appearing somewhere in the city. there’s the city college which is really huge for a community college. just up the road from there is cal tech. of course you have the rosebowl and the parade every year as well as the do da parade.

mountains and lakes

it’s good to get out of bakersfield and above the smog. you have the fun of the mountains, a great lake and of course the kern river where you can do some great river rafting.

Morro Bay

Worth visiting!

home of the rock

some of the downtown shops are fun. the large chessboard is really neat to watch. they have a good golf course and camp site. however, beware…very tourist and you need to get away a few miles for solitude and relaxation. lots of fun for little ones. they also have virgils where you leave for deep sea fishing if you’re interested in that kind of thing.

my home away from home

love this quaint, little town. i try to go and visit every 6-8 weeks just to say hi to the ocean and the mountains and sit and drink coffee with the townfolk. if you’re there on a friday the farmer’s market is a blast.
