Bruges is so charming with its canals and bridges. Like a smaller Venice, Italy. We did a horse-drawn carriage tour by night of the town, which was magical. The food is very good in Belgium, how can you go wrong with chocolate, fries with twenty different sauces, and kriek, which is this cherry beer. Very tasty.
over 4 years agoWent for a weekend trip to Amsterdam in February and stayed with friends. Beautiful city and wonderful museums. Renting a bicycle and cycling by the canals is quite pleasant. The only problem was in February it was bitterly cold and damp. I would love to return in the summer sometime, it must be quite nice in better weather. I’d also like to visit some other towns and areas including The Hague
over 5 years agoWent here for our honeymoon. The most romantic city. Gondola rides are very overpriced but worth it at least once. Very very very easy to get lost, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing…we were there in March so it wasn’t that crowded but I can only imagine that in summer it is completely packed
