This is where the magic happens

Sure the gift shops are tacky, and the streets are a little seedy. But this is where “it” all began, and if the world seems to be against America at the moment, they’ll always love the movies we send them, and they come from here. Well…they come from North Hollywood, Burbank, Culver City, Century City, and Santa Monica — but this is where The Sign is. And at least Paramount Pictures is here, so Hollywood isn’t JUST a symbol.

Beautiful campus, made lifelong friends — I sure hope there’s more to do these days than drink beer. It wasn’t great for student life in the late 20th Century.

Universal Studios, Hollywood

I worked at Universal Pictures for 12 years...

The whole Universal “City” holds a special place in my heart. More real than Disneyland, but still Hollywood “make-believe.” This is really a place where movies are made.
