Rainy days scare away the faint of heart, but cold weather is even better: a lot of critters are more active in chilly weather than summer heat, and the rest, well, they’re inside and so are you when you go to see them.
Also, don’t eat the food. I worked at one of the concession stands a few years back. Really, truly, don’t eat the food.
over 6 years agoGorgeous place, but very dark—if you’re planning on photographing, go with as high a film speed as you can manage. They’re also very understanding about tripods, provided you aren’t obnoxious about it.
And, obviously, be considerate and go during a quiet, empty time of day.
