Chocolats De Pierre

Worth visiting!

cute and cozy

lovely little ‘coffee shop’ that specialises in truffle making. the shop is so sweet and romantitic, well worth a visit. its set back from the main streets of old town so it seems as if you have discovered a small unknown place(although it is now listed in guidebooks). truffles aren’t cheap(30eeks) but very yummy!!

Weston-super-Mare

Not worth visiting!

live here

i kinda grew up here, and hate it. the people, things to do, atmosphere in general is not nice. i agree with others, go to bristol or continue down the coast if you want a good holiday, there isnt much to see or do here

Central Market

(in Latvia > Riga)
good to see this

i was told -Riga’s central market is one of Europe’s largest markets and also its most ancient, dating back at least to the city’s info structure in 1201. Riga’s market was not always so large nor was it always in its present location : currently, the central market is housed in five great Zeppelin hangars behind the train and bus stations, five huge aircraft hangars which were erected between 1924 and 1930.

it was a nice enough market to buy some fruit and feels like your helping th locals. worth visiting

Double Coffee

(in Latvia > Riga)

Worth visiting!

everywhere

as chains go,it rivals starbucks! i counted 5 in old town alone! practically on every other street, as coffee shops go its a fun one. they have a good selection of food and drinks(incl alcohol) at average prices. some are open 24hrs and they have a breakfast menu too. the menus themselves are discuised as glossy magazines. also offer discounts on sertain items at selected times(eg. cheap tea between 8&11 on weekdays).

Museum Of Foreign Art

(in Latvia > Riga)
time

if you have spare time, its worth a visit, although it can be missed if your only there a short time. slightly hard to find, its inside the castle(only it doesnt look like a castle!)

Riga

(in Latvia)

Worth visiting!

peaceful

finally a real glimpse of eastern europe! ive been hunting for the quiet eastern european city with nice bakeries, small cafes and not a hoard of tourists. it seems ive found it in riga(surprisingly). lots of old cobbled streets, very pretty, and yet around the outskirts is the older houses that are slowly turning to rubble. well worth a visit for a laid back romantic weekend!! there were a few stag do’s on sat nite wandering around, but nothing compared to prague or any uk town on the weekend, the locals keep to themselves but most speak english, german and russian(as well as lat!) 5 stars!

Fazer Cafe

Untitled

cute and snazzy, although a little expensive. a niec place for a hot chocolate, or if you’re feeling indulgent a fazer chocolate- choc melted into a cup with a selection of things to add eg cream, choc sprinkles, cinnamon!!.
