this was my home. Probably the only city I’ll ever consider my true home, a place I may come back to when I’m grey. It has everything – mountains you can see on clear days, waterfront on almost all sides, beautiful people of all faith and conviction, thriving subcultures of all sorts, fairly diverse, not too big, not too small, good for youth, active, caring, intelligent (as far as one can ascribe that to a city). A million things to do and god forbid you’re ever bored, what’s around is endless.

It is a tad expensive, though. But worth it. The night life could be a little better… especially for the under 21 crowd.

What was my home. Beautiful, eclectic, something for everyone. A great country to backpack in.
