Whilst the old airport is horrendous, Doha itself is fabulous.
I was there for 7 days and i wish i could’ve spend another week there. And it’s true, it is indeed booming! There are futuristic skyscraper construction sites everywhere, (i mean, everywhere, ..literally!) being worked on 24hours – it’s crazy.
The old town and traditional markets are enchanting, the hotel complexes are luxurious and the desert dunes are fascinating.

I’m really curious about how it will look in 1,2 years!

i’ve been there when i was around 10 years old, i.e. 9 years ago, and i still remember it quite accurately. Which tells us – it must have been AMAZING. There is such a lot to see, it almost overstrains the eyes.
the only thing really bugging me was the smog in the city – but well, you get used to breath that air after a few hours, eeh hehe.

in fact i really really want to go there again!
