North Carolina

Worth visiting!

Nice place to visit.

All the places pictured are great places to see. Much of the state is rural but unfortunately that is changing. There is plenty of big city life for those who are interested. My favorite places are the beaches and the mountains.

We must have walked almost all of Las Vegas. I loved the shows and the different world settings for each casino. I’m not into gambling. We went to the Star Trek exhibit which was great. We even got a day bus trip to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon at a reasonable price.

France

Worth visiting!

Beautiful place!

I spent 3 weeks in France 5 years ago. It was a nice trip. I got to see and do a lot but I don’t want to go back. I was so homesick and stayed lost. Americans tend to set things up in straight lines and squares. Things tend to go in spirals there. If not for the people in the group, I couldnot navigate anywhere or use the subway system alone. I enjoyed the food and the people very much. Fortunately, I studied some French before I went. I also kept a translation book with me. It helped me get out of some scrapes when I did venture out alone. I loved Nice the most. Beautiful place with a small town feel. Paris was too much for me but I’m not much for city life anyhow.

New York City

Worth visiting!

I hope to go back one day!

I went went as a chaperone for a group of college students on an overnight trip. We went to see “The Color Purple” on Broadway. It was fabulous! The traffic and the flood of people never seemed to stop. I’ve never been anyplace more congested—even Paris! We didn’t really get to explore as I would have liked.
