Minneapolis, Minnesota

a modest city

i spent two weeks there in december ‘04… nice city, i felt at home. That second week had to be the coldest part of the winter i felt all last winter… which says a lot considering i’m canadian… it was just freezing!! I wouldn’t mind visiting again in the summer to see more of the sites. While there i happend to catch one of my fav bands Magnolia Electric Co. at the 7th street entry… very good show. Ended up doing a great deal of last minute xmass shopping at mall of america (yay for no tax… boo for exchange rates)

Coachella Music & Arts Festival, Empire Polo Field

2004

Flew there from Toronto, Canada… several flights, buses and cabs to get there and i ended up hitchiking to LA to get back home… and 4 solid days of 45C heat!? slightly crazy thing to do, but worth it in the end. best concert ever. If i had to do it again just land in LA and rent a car for the weekend.

Casa Loma, Casa Loma

kinda fun to explore

Toronto doesn’t have much history to offer… this building isn’t impressivly old (built around 100 years ago). But the building itself is rather impressive, and fun to explore. I was more enthused about the flamboyancy of it all then its history. My girlfriend and i found it more interesting then a recent visit to the Royal Ontario Museum. However, we’re far from being history buffs.
