    Medieval Times

    Worth visiting!

Cheesy family fun  — 2 years ago

Be sure to call in your reservations early because it sells out every night. The kids loved the equestrian & falconry displays, and we all had fun cheering for our knight in the tournament. Dinner was reasonably good, plain solid fare that you can eat with your fingers. Someone at our table made the mistake of smuggling in a fork & was heartily razzed by the wait staff :-P

    Lexington

    Worth visiting!

Civil War museum  — 2 years ago

There’s a walking tour of both the battlefield and the Anderson House, a stately brick mansion that was a key feature in the three-day Battle of Lexington, because it was captured & recaptured several times. The museum is quite nice with lots of interesting displays; the film they run in the auditorium is kind of cheesy (but isn’t it always?) Even the kids liked it.

    Perry Foster's BBQ

    Worth visiting!

College town BBQ  — 2 years ago

Don’t expect a fancy atmosphere. Scarred linoleum tabletops, paper plates & plastic forks, ridiculously good BBQ in ridiculously sized portions. What more could you ask?
