Venice was nice – you definetly have to go just to say you’ve been there. But choose the right time of year to go, and stay out of the square, take a boat ride at night up the canals to peek into the grand old buildings that aren’t open to the public, and go to the island of Burano, where its very traditional, but starting to get touristy.
