It’s a long way out on a dirt road, but Barkerville is a very well preserved gold mining ghost town, similar to Bodie in California. It’s a nice place to just take a few hours and walk around, re-living the past and getting away from civilization.

Yes it’s a bit of a drive, yes its not free, but it is definately worth it. Butchart Garden’s is a landscaper’s dream. There are more areas to the garden than you can count, incredible flowers year round, and great lighting and fireworks at night.

Yes, it’s a cheesy tourist attracition, but it’s still cool and I’ll never get tired of it ;)

Orange is home to the most well preserved Roman theatre in the entire world. Definately worth making a stop at.

Old Eze is a beautiful (but expensive) hillside town known for its boutiques and incredible views.

Grau D’Agde (the port of Agde) has some great restaurants right on the water. Agde itself is not ok, but nothing special. If you’re looking for a resort on the water, go to Cap D’Agde, but beware, it looks tired and dirty.
