It’s a long way out on a dirt road, but Barkerville is a very well preserved gold mining ghost town, similar to Bodie in California. It’s a nice place to just take a few hours and walk around, re-living the past and getting away from civilization.
over 5 years agoYes it’s a bit of a drive, yes its not free, but it is definately worth it. Butchart Garden’s is a landscaper’s dream. There are more areas to the garden than you can count, incredible flowers year round, and great lighting and fireworks at night.
over 5 years agoYes, it’s a cheesy tourist attracition, but it’s still cool and I’ll never get tired of it ;)
