If you love to look at hoards of young military guys roaming the streets then this is your place. I particularly like palm-tree-lined Coast Highway, looking at the sunset on the pier, and walking to Ruby’s for a shake.

Lived in Vista about 10 years, I wouldn’t recommend just visiting if you’re not going to see some friends. There isn’t a whole lot there that you won’t find in most other cities. There are some unique things about this city like the Moonlight Amphitheater, a museum, nature reserve, water park, and the crazy winding residential streets.

Spent my best childhood years on Camp Pendleton (San Onofre)! The best part was being able to ride our bikes down to the beach and we’d have sleepovers there. Awesome.

Spent a summer there, and spent most of that summer indoors lotioning up every hour because the heat was too intense. The only highlight was going to Ciudad Juarez to shop but even there it was miserably hot…

I wasn’t expecting much at first, but it’s sooo beautiful and serene! Clear blue sky, gentle breeze, warm weather…I’m definitely going back next time I’m in FL.

Even when I wasn’t doing anything special or needed to get away from family, I would just walk and walk and walk. So much to see if you’re into observing things.

Military brat…nice childhood memories…I remember there used to be this fair that was held across the street in this huge field around 1985. I lived on Ranger Rd, 02840…anyone know what I’m talking about?

Last time I went it was to see family (family is from Colon) and it turned out to be a real bonding experience for my mother and I. She told me stories about her childhood and how things used to be and it was wonderful.
