Kauai

The wife and I went to Kauai on our Honeymoon in late September. Flickr photos here

For Kauai, it seems like the best places are all on the northern end of the Island. Be sure to go to the National Tropical Botanical Gardens. And get out of your rental car and do some hiking. 85% of the people we saw were simply driving around and paging through those stupid guidebooks.

Oh, and don’t go during peak season. It was VERY crowded in late September, so I can’t even imagine what it must be like in the more popular months.

Not bad

I’ve lived in Arkansas all my life. One great thing is that you’ll never find the great places too crowded – as nobody thinks “hey lets go to Arkansas” when they decide to take a vacation. This is a good thing. You guys stay out.
