over 6 years agoLiterally! The temperature is higher than elsewhwere on Maui. do the Old lahina Luau, Aloha mixed plate next door, get a couple of bottles of booze from Safeway at Lahaina Cannery mall. Old Lahaina town is interesting for a day, with tiki carvers and historical artifacts around the 100 year old banyan tree. We were lucky enough to be there for the international festival of canoes http://www.isic.org/sisp/index.htm?fx=event&event_id=92234 a celebration of Hawaiian roots. Best of all, get up early, and take a surf lesson at Goofy Foot surf school!
