Seattle, King County
Untitled
I spent a great deal of the latter part of 2004 travelling back and forth to Seattle from Vancouver as I was dating a wonderful woman there who I had hoped to get married to. Knowing the locals of any city is always a good way to get to know the real part of a city and this was no exception. Though I didn’t live there soon after arriving I felt more at home there than I did sometimes in the city where I lived. Hanging out at the Aurafice (an internet coffee shop, with great art on the walls, and known for its ‘Goffee’ a get together once a week for the local goth scene) walking around Cap Hill being able to recognize people I met the night or week before at the Merc / Vogue / Noc Noc, etc. While I haven’t been back there in well over a year, I still think of it almost as my second home.
