Had a long-weekend away with my family, godparents’ family and a friend which was a bit of a disaster when my brother broke his arm on the evening we arrived!
The place we camped in made up for it though – we were literally in the middle of the forest, surrounded by beautiful trees, dappled sunlight, and New Forest Ponies! We found a river where lots of people were picnicing and sunbathing, and swimming with the cows!!
(Great for taking the dog too, she just loved it!)

It was always my favourite place to go in ‘Activities Week’ at school – I went with my friends two years running :D
Also, Christmas-time 2005, i went ice skating on an out-door ice-rink with my friends, which was fantastic! It was really atmospheric skating within the Castle grounds, and there were people dressed up as characters from Narnia!
Go next Christmas (its a bit far away, but do remember because its oodles of fun!)

The first holiday i went on with my boyfriend and it rained most of the week (end of october). I have some absolutely wonderful memories though of long, beautiful (though wet) walks! It may have rained… but we were so wet that it was just great fun! I’d recommend it to anyone who loves the outdoors, and nature, and I really want to go there again, soon!
