Savannah, Georgia

Untitled

i visited Savannah! it was very hot and humid, but overall worth it. i not only visited, but i contracted to rent an apartment in September so i can attend grad school there!

i found that the restaurants are expensive, the town is beautiful at night, and the ghost tours are amusing.

i’ll soon be living in this little city, and i am immensely looking forward to it!

Savannah, Georgia

Untitled

i got in to grad school here, at SCAD. i will likely be visiting very soon, even if i do not decide to go there for school. it looks like it’s my top choice, if not in my top 2. depends on what San Fran. Art Inst. says/offers ;).

i have always wanted to visit Savannah tho.

Egypt, Africa

from Cairo to Alexandria

i visited Egypt when i was 13, with a group of folks. we spent a week on the Nile on a boat, pausing at various sights and temples along the way. we also spent a week in Cairo and the surrounding areas, including an entire morning in side the pyramid, from around 5am before sunup until they were due to open to the public. i had no idea, at the time, how lucky i was to be able to see the entire interior of the pyramid. the public tour is brief, and barely allows you to see anything of the interior. the temples were amazins, as were the markets and tiny back alley shops in Cairo. i only wish i’d been a little older, and a little better with a camera, when i was there. the people were largely poor, but generous. they shared what they had. if you go, children in the streets will ask for candy. they also love ballpoint pens.
