A Well-Read Dog Head

I didn’t get to do nearly enough because I was working. I did get to go to China Town and had dinner in North Beach, but here’s hoping I get to go soon with better travel companions than my coworkers. People who don’t want to walk around don’t have much fun in San Francisco. I love to walk around. :-)

I was five years old when my family, stationed in Germany by the Army, went on a road trip across Europe. I remember very little of it, though.

Definitely worth a trip.

Some parts are much more fun than others. I recommend Lawrence and Manhattan, two college towns.

I rode the ferry out to it in January, and it was a chilling experience, to say the least. Don’t miss the tour of Ellis Island.

Germany is a brilliant place to be a kid. Volksmarches, chocolate, open flower markets, and wonderful people!
