My husband and I really tried to find something fun or interesting in Vancouver, but we sure didn’t find anything. It’s basically just a bland suburb of Portland from what I saw.

We wandered in for a pint and ended up having many many pints while enjoying an awesome R&B group play. I wish I could remember the band but sadly I can’t.

Quite simply the best pizza I’ve ever had! If you like Porters, I recommend Young’s Double Chocolate. Together with the pizza, you’ll think you died and went to heaven!

I saw this place on a travel channel show. Once I moved to Portland I set out to find it. My husband and I are addicted to the place. It’s a special treat to spend the morning at the Saturday market then walk to Voodoo doughnuts for a a voodoo dozen. Don’t bother with the coffee, walk down the street and go to Stumptown for that!

Easy to get around, Portland has the best public transportation! From SW Portland, you can go anywhere. Great restaurants, bars all within easy walking distance.

The food is great but cheap, the atmosphere is fun! If you want a beer, it has to be a Natty Boh, if you want a margarita, order the hub cap margarita!

Despite the odd name, it’s a fun little town all kinds of shops. We bought this beautiful quilt there.

I’m stationed in Baltimore and thought Baltimore was the scariest city ever until I drove through York. It looked like Baltimore on super crack. We didn’t even bother getting out of the car. Maybe I’m wrong, but from the reviews of people who live there, we made the right decision.

In Baltimore’s defense, there are a lot of fun cool areas here, only certain areas scare me anymore.

I found out about this place here on 43 places. Talked my husband into going today. It is such a funky cool place and the food is great! I wish I’d found this place before our friends came to visit us from Phoenix, they would have loved it too!

My husband and I were visiting friends just down the street from St. Elmo’s. A big snow storm hit. We’re from Arizona staying in Baltimore and are not used to driving in snow and ice, so we decided to cut our visit short and head back to Baltimore. We stopped at St. Elmo’s to grab a coffee and a little bite to eat then hit the road.

As we were crossing into Maryland, I wanted to take a picture with my camera phone of the horrible snow storm. That’s when I realized my purse was sitting back at the coffee shop.

We had our friends call the shop to let them know we were on our way back. In the meantime, someone from St. Elmo’s called my brother back in AZ to let someone know they had my purse.

Not only do they have fantastic coffee, nice atmosphere, but they’re genuinely nice people!
