Get there early for mist, morning light and less crowded.
If you want to do the inca trail, book early (2 or 3 months early).
You can do 2-day inca trail or 4-day inca trail.
I’ve done the 4-day, and I would not want to cut any day off.
Ruins, landscapes, and vegetations along the way are worth every sweat.

If you want to do the Waynay pichu, try to be there early because they limit only 400 people a day up there. They did not let me go up there since they already had 400 then.

There are a lot Peru has to offer: adventure on Inca trail,
stunning view of Machu Picchu (and the Inca story is even more astronishing), and the wildlife viewing in Amazon.
The Amazon lodge (Posada Amazonas) is very exciting and relaxing.
It makes two and a half days in Amazon too short.
I want to stay there longer.

Although I speak no spanish (phrasebook did help), Do-It-Yourself is not difficult.
I might not get the best deal, but that’s fair.

The food … wow … so tasty … so variety.
Ceviche is so tasty and it deserves its reputation.
There are a lot more of Peruvian food and each region has its own cuisine.

The fruit … mmm … granadilla is on my list of favorite fruits.
