Roatan

Worth visiting!

Beautiful Sand

The sand on the beaches of Roatan is incredible! What a beautiful place. The water was so clear.

Birmingham

Not worth visiting!

9PM = Ghosttown

Went there for a TaeKwonDo National Tournament and Black Belt Camp. After 9PM, this place shuts down. Literally. Barren streets and, I think, there was only one “bar” open. It was really creepy.

I wouldn’t really say it isn’t worth visiting, but it didn’t offer anything that I would consider entertaining (or interesting) while I was there.

Austin

Worth visiting!

I live here

Austin is a great city right in the true heart of Texas.

We have good music, good food and a good community. We also have great celebrities (Lance Armstrong, Matthew McConaughey) and great events (SXSW). Been here for the last 20-something years. Don’t really plan on leaving (whether that’s a good thing or not).

California

Worth visiting!

Born there

Not much to say, really. Also a good vacation spot. Even have a trip to Disneyland (2nd ever) planned sometime in the first quarter of next year (2006).

I was born in San Diego at a Naval Hospital (my dad served on the USS Kitty Hawk ported there when I was born).

I will always have a pull to California, but I don’t think it will ever get strong enough for me to actually live there again.

Florida

Worth visiting!

Several Times

I have visited Florida on numerous occassions. Notably for Disney World (vacation and honeymoon) and Pensacola (National TaeKwonDo tournament).

It is a pretty place to visit. I am not so sure about living there as the number of hurricanes that blast the beaches of Florida each year make me wonder why the coast is as inhabited as it is.

Japan

(in Asia)
Want to go!

I have always wanted to go to Japan. I mean, look at it, it’s beautiful. The countryside is gorgeous. The cities are marvelous. It is everything all on one small island. Fantastic. Who wouldn’t want to go to the land of history and wonder?

Chichen Itza

Worth visiting!

Rather nice

Chichen Itza is a pretty cool place to visit. That pyramid/temple/alter is huge. I mean really huge. And the steps are rather vertical, so traversing up them is a bit of an effort. If you get winded going up one flight of stairs at work, it will take you quite a while to get up this set.
