I lived in Yokohama for 5 years as I was a kid. Don’t remember too much but today I do LOVE japanese food and green tee, so something must have stuck :)

... that was in June this year. We took my car up from Cape Town and went on this amazing road trip through Namibia. Amazing experience. Windhoek was great. Mainly because we had been camping in the wild for 1 week and were so glad we could get a decent cappuchino! ;-)

Just came back from Vancouver a few days ago. AMAZING city. LOVE IT.

My parents are from Rotterdam. Beautiful city. Very modern as most of it was destroyed during the war. Very impressive architecture. Would love to spend some time here.

I’m Dutch. But I did not grow up there. Rather I spent my life all over the place. But that is another story altogether… :)
This summer I went to Amsterdam with a couple of German friends. We had an amazing time. And, being dutch, I thought it would be time for me to visit a coffee shop. Totally crazy experience. There you don’t get a wine list but rather a list of different kind… lol
Anyway I decided to take it slow and I just drank a tea. A special kind, mind you. And although I did not really experience anything I danced until about 5am without feeling tired at all. Good times… :)

But living there sure is different from spending a vacation. You begin to see things differently. If you try to do business or something as simple as get your car insured you really have to be patient. People joke it’s called the Mother City because everything takes 9 months to get done… lol
