I worked at a camp an hour south of Branson for two summers. Branson is like the mini vegas of the South. I don’t know if they have casinos but it seems like every other act that made it on to the Lawrence Welk show set up camp here. Where else can you find The Platters, Yakov Smirnov, and Chinese Acrobats in one weekend?

My mother LOVES Atlanta. Maybe I need to visit with her. I have yet to see anything in Atlanta (besides IKEA) that makes me really excited about it. I must be missing something.

If you like places that appear to be big cities but feel more like small towns, this is your spot. There are about 4 (or less) degrees of seperation between you and anyone in Nashville. You’ll probably run out of activities after a week of being here though.

I have to be honest there’s not a whole lot going on in the NN. My parents still live there and the area at whole (Hampton Roads) is not bad at all. Really, I look forward to going home but that’s partially because I live hundreds of miles away from a non-stagnet body of water…

There’s not a whole lot going on in Lynchvegas even though there’s three colleges there, the vibe is kind of weak. On the other hand, since I’ve moved to Nashville I totally miss being able to drive to civilization on a regular basis…

I don’t care what Parisians think, les Quebecois speak the best French. I can actually understand them… Montreal is hot!

Make sure you sneak away from the touristy areas. Only eat a street cart that is jammed packed with locals. We had fun on our day trip and got to see a political protest!

I was born in New London as was my mother and most of my extended family on her side. It’s a cute place to visit but I wouldn’t want to live there…
