Medley, Florida

Medley is an obscure town sandwiched between a canal and a massive trainyard. It doesn’t have much of interest to the tourist, and has been lampooned in local radio promos for the fictitious Hiney Winery (“the wine that made Medley Medley”). However, when I was a kid in the neighboring city of Miami Springs, the Medley recreation center was hospitable. I think they even gave me a free ice cream cone once. Medley is mostly a drab conglomeration of trailers and warehouses, but I don’t forget too many free ice cream cones.
