If you don’t want the crazy crowds that the holiday season brings to Disneyland, go during the first week of December. I went Tuesday, 12/4/07, and the longest ride we waited in was the new Nemo ride (about 30 minutes). We waited no more than 15 minutes for everything else! We walked on to several rides, including The Haunted Mansion and Pirates. California Adventure was equally unbusy. :)

Finally was able to book and confirm our trip! We’re going for 11 days in early August, 5 days on Oahu (north shore, Turtle Bay Resort) and 6 days on the Big Island (Kona, Outrigger Keauhou). We’re meeting up with some of my boyfriend’s family while on the Big Island, so that should be fun. :)

So excited! Our rental cars are paid for, airfare is comp thanks to work and we’re getting super deals on the hotels. :)

I first went when it was at the Gaylord in 2005, went last year when it was at the Hilton Anatole, and might go again this year, but it’s expensive to travel out there every year.

Definitely worth checking out at least once, if you are at all any type of computer gamer. Free entertainment, prizes, free food (sometimes), t-shirts, nerds everywhere, super-fast internet, file-sharing on the network…
