It is a really pretty place, the castle is fab, just a shame it has become overloaded with tourists.

Lived here for a year – brilliant island, deagh craic and lovely people!

Especially if you like Gaudi! I spent most of my trip running around seeing all that was to offer – I’d recommend the Casa Mila. Las Ramblas is entertaining for the street artists, but pricey to eat on – there are plenty of good tapas places off Las Ramblas that are better value! People are wonderful, night life is entertaining.. go!

Beautiful country – I was in Casablanca, Rabat which are both more commercial centres, and in Laayoune, in the Western Sahara – the sand dunes were amazing! I’d like to go back to go to Marrakesh and Fez in particular, but I would definitely recommend the country.

One thing though – if you are travelling alone and are female, I would be vigilant, but no more so than in any other African country I guess.
