I didn’t really like Hampton beach, it was overly tacky, overly touristy and seemed really dirty. Unless they’ve done one bang up job in the past couple of years of cleaning the place up, Hampton Beach isn’t somewhere i’m in a rush to ever go back to.

Even though I went years ago I’ve never forgotten how much fun I had in Venice Beach, and can’t wait to go back someday.

Despite being such a small island there is a ton to do in Newport especially if you just like walking around whether it’s the shops, the cliff walk, the mansions, the parks, the beach. It also has a fun college night life because of the Salve Regina University crowd.

Narragansett is a beautiful little seaside town and I usually spend most of my summers there. The nicer resturants are a little on the pricey side and it costs money to sit on the beach for the day during the summer but it’s always worth it.

I’ve been going to Province town since I was a little kid and I absolutely love it there. Have never had a bad time.

I used to love visiting friends at Harvard and walking around Cambridge, walking through Harvard Square, hitting up some local bars, resturants and going into the stores. Best time to visit Cambridge is in the fall.

Nice if you want to see that hard to find art house film. They have love seat couches for you to sit on instead of traditional chairs while you watch your film but they seem really dirty and thought I was going to have to get a tetanus shot. Parkings hard to find in the area on the weekends and movie screen is really small.

Avon is nice because it plays the hard to find art house movies that don’t make it to the big cineplexes. The bad news is your still paying the same price you would for comfortable theaters to sit in really uncomfortable seats, mediocre to poor sound quality and if you don’t like the smell of mothballs or your grandmothers attic you might want to skip the Avon and see a blockbuster at Providence Place.

RISD is a pretty inexpensive museum which is sometimes free (check the website) has a lot of diferent forms of artwork from ancient to modern times. It’s a nice way to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Good drinks, good food, and good atmosphere and it’s all pretty cheap. Order yourself a large Call-A-Cab and you’ll be good to go.
