If you like model railways the new model railway exhibition is a great place to visit. Dad’s will love the railway, the kids will too and the childrens play area and Mums can have a glass of wine, a coffee and a piece of cake and chill out.

Its worth the detour from Fulda and nearby is the Rhon Therm hotel with a fab water pack, swimming pools, wave pools, waterslides, and jacuzzis. So the area is a great stop off point for anyone to relax while touring the area.

If you are visiting Nogales to get a flavour of Mexico then forget it.

It is a sleazy touristy border town, lots of people trying to earn a buck or two out of the tourists. It is full of people trying to sell you illicit prescription drugs that are much cheaper in Mexico than in the USA.
Border controls to get back in to the USA are very strict – make sure you have your passport with you, and dont carry even one asprin with you as you will be there for hours otherwise.

Chatsworth is known as the Palace of the Peak District. The grounds and house are stunning particularly the formal gardens near to the house.

Take time to walk round some of the grounds and see some of the follies and oddities including the fountain disguised as a tree.

The farm shop is worth a visit to for all sorts of edible goodies.

It’s a great place to take a picnic and chill out on a fine day.

This is an amazing and atmospheric place. It is an inderground water systern. From the outside it look realy unpromising, a square concrete block building a bit like a public toilet, but inside and underground it is truely amazing

This is a great place to visit but beware of any “helpful” young male locals who offer to show you round. They are after money and if you are female they can be extremely pushy.

DO NOT ACCEPT A CHANCE TO VISIT THEIR HOMES!

I know of one young girl who was raped because she was too polite to say no.

We stayed in panguitch – the whole area was a tourist rip off, expensive motels, and the only place we stayed where the rooms were dirty, tatty and smelly. We paid more for an awful room here than we did for a suite at the Luxor Casino Hotel in Las Vegas.

It was so bad the following morning other guests organised a petition and a complaints letter to send to the American Automobile guide books to get them to remove its recommendation from future guides.

I am still blown away by the sheer size of Frankfurt airport it is stupendous. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the shopping and culture is great.

It is beautiful and I have a friend there
