Used to live on the base
I grew up on the military base in Kaneohe. I had a great childhood living in Hawaii. It was wonderful.

Too tourist-y
This island has losts a lot of their culture…its the only island where people seem to ask for tips; where as the other islands find tipping offensive because they always provide good service. There were too many children, it was too loud, and they barely spoke french. Bora Bora was the last island I visited on my travels in French Polynesia and it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. It was rather disappointing compared to Moorea and Huahine.
