Try Hellim (or Hellum) cheese it’s so delicious hmm. I brought some to home with me and I am eating it little by little. I think the best way to prepare is to grill it.

It’s really really cold during winter. I’ve been here on American thankgiving 2007 (November) and my knees were freezing. They told me it was going to be -45C (probably around now, it is!)
Trivia: Ottawa is the coldest capital in the world.

If you like the place, I suggest you to take guided tours. The guide will show stuff that you can’t find yourself. Guide was wearing a 1800’s fashion dress and acting.

It’s going to be the 400th year anniversary of the foundation of Quebec City this year in summer! If you’re planning to visit, there is going to be lots of activities, concerts.

I really liked this place. I loved the painting and the nice atmosphere. I went there on Friday evening, which they are open till 9:30pm. I guess that and the rain outside was why it was so lively that day. They had a dj playing and there was going to be a live performance later (I couldn’t stay for that one)
I’ve been there 2 weeks ago and there was the Barcelona 1900 exhibition, which was somewhat interesting. There was short videos, models, statues etc.
As an art buff I liked the permanent collection better than exhibition though.

Safran the Turkish restaurant is great. (OK I am biased because I am a Turk) But it has great Turkish food and good sized portions.

Live music, good food court, giant chess. It is surrounded by nice shops, restaurants and a movie theather.
Food court gives you all kinds of food from all over the world.

Parking is free (and it’s not hard to find a spot), that’s the good thing about this place. You can park here and see downtown Bellevue.

Garden d’lights nights are pretty. I haven’t been there day time though.

I was there for whale watching. Orcas were swimming just near our boat. I also saw harbour seals and eagles. It goes near to Deception Pass too.
