Calgary Tower

Sure Calgary isn’t the only city with a tall tower in the downtown core, but the horizon is immediately recognizable. Plus it looks like a torch and they light it at special times of the year.

Also, check out the newly installed glass floor!

Turns out that I got my wish and I’m headed back there at the end of August (‘05). This time I’m going to be visiting Long Beach and Los Angeles. Hopefully I’ll remember to take pictures this time and have better things to say,

The small town with the funny name. It was amusing to see the public transit vehicles with SLO written on them. Hurst Manor is definitely decadent to the point of being disturbing, but it’s also pretty impressive. I was only there for a short time and under less than idea circumstances (read: relationship stuff), but I’d love to go back and see it with new eyes.
