I walked into one coffee house/restaurant and I was the only “coloured” person there, out of about 50 customers (probably regulars). EVERYBODY looked at me and they just kept watching me til I finished my breakfast and left. They didn’t say anything, but it was a little awkward.

Worth visiting!

SALT!!!

If you love salt, this is for you. Great sights, neat adventures, expensive living/shopping, clean streets, pretty safe in most public places, no motorcycles, horrible food. Their famous BBQ Duck is absolutely disgusting. You get a much better version in the neighbouring city of TianJin, and a lot better food. Beware of the Gou Bu Li Bao Zi (buns)!
