Hagia Sophia, Istanbul

Brillant!

Massive – the true medium of expression here has to be the sunlight. As the Sun rises and falls, it streams through the numerous windows to give the place so many different feelings – all in the course of 3 hours. I also enjoyed looking for aspects of when it was a Catholic church. Go visit!

Vietnam, Asia

Very cool!

I just came back from here a few days ago – really friendly and an infusion of Asian cultures with a touch of French flair. Deep cultural roots and a very rich history. In addition, they seem to be very pleased with American tourism (in all honesty, this was my biggest fear visiting here). In fact, they would often take American money over their own money when it came to shopping (I highly recommend bring many, many US singles to go shopping with).

Penang, Malaysia

Great time!

The people of Penang are the real draw to this city. Everybody I encountered was nice and really friendly – they were all able to give great tips in regards to shopping and nightlife. The nightlife here is great and I felt safer here than I did in other areas in South-East Asia. I was also able to get some nice clothing items at this odd store called Sam’s House of Batiks.

However, I have to say, I wasn’t really impressed by the beach.
