Nanning

Worth visiting!

very pretty

I had just come from there, having attended the China ASEAN Dance Seminar. It’s quite hard to get around on your own if you don’t know how to speak Mandarin and it’s not a place to go for bargain shopping (though the grocery was fun to visit). But our hosts were very gracious and took us to eat at fantastic places and made sure our stay was very comfortable, also there’s a wealth of culture there, especially in dance. So if you like to look at beautiful parks and buildings and if you love chinese food and if you like to see the best of chinese culture, come to Nanning!

Pasig City

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I’ve worked in this area the last five years, all in all, pretty good years. The shopping is a lot of fun, it’s a busy city and yet it has quiet places for nice romantic walks, especially along Pearl drive. Walking down Emerald drive, meanwhile, reminds me of walking in Hong Kong. I do miss Metrowalk before people discovered it, though, and McDonald’s in front of Meralco. In many ways, it feels like home.

Las Piñas

Worth visiting!

i live here

and the love of my life lives here too.

i really love it here even if the traffic on the alabang zapote road is legendary. it’s comfy and pretty with all these beautiful flame trees and the local government is pretty cool as they’ve managed to control much of the traffic for the residents with the Friendship Route (a traffic route that goes inside the villages within the city).

my house is beautiful! and the mall is only seven minutes away, yet there’s none of that “i live in the busy city” feeling. you won’t find that anywhere.

my lovey’s house is beautiful too.

Athens

he says it's divine

I think this is the first conversation I ever had with my lovey. I blabbed about watching Bourne Identity and wondering where Matt Damon and Franka Potente disappeared to on my LJ, and that I wanted to go there. He commented and told me it’s in Greece because he recognized the skafta.

Oops, I just admitted that I met my lovey online. Eep.

He had been to Athens as a youngling and I’m so envious. He loves the stark dry sun, he says. I want to go there, hopefully with him. We could have baklava.

London Below

i want some papadums...

I’ve been to London Below. That’s how my lovey and I fell in love. He picked me up off the street and chose not to go back to his former life.

Though I do want to visit London Below, take the tube of course. Perhaps, while I check out London Above.

Hong Kong

(in China)
I love the subway!

Again, I’ve been here already, but I do plan to go back. I’m not much of a shopper but I really like staring at the buildings and all the walking around and using the subway. I love exploring. I love harassing the chinese sales clerks at Sogo what title the Japanese anime is in English and watching them freak out.

I want to go back and walk on their beaches. Preferably when there’s no typhoon.

But we were both too busy. We’ll definitely find time soon. First Galera, then the rest of the world!

Boracay

I've been here but...

Everyone who wants to go to Boracay always wants to go back. I like it during the lean season, never mind the algae.
