Beautiful architecture that is crumbling…but still gorgeous non the less! Did the usual touristy things…Copacabana, places Hemingway way hung out…People are so friendly!

I just got back. Spent 6 days here. Can’t say that I did much or seen much of anything. But a beautiful state with so much green space! My friend’s backyard over looked a corn field! I must admit that I was kind of scared at night time sitting on the patio…thinking of horror movies like ‘Children of The Corn!’ I suppose for a city girl like me hearing the crickets and other unidentifiable noises would also drive me to tense up!

Was the 1st time I had visited a distillery. Whoooooooo! Was the alcohol smell strong! I also bought some rum that was 120 proof! They said that you couldn’t buy it in the US. It was really good!

of here without buying something. So I don’t try to go to often!

Nanjing or previously known as ‘Nanking’ This is where the forgotten Holocaust of WWII occurred. I am reading the book by Iris Chang “The Rape of Nanking” and I want to see this place and the safety zone.
