Interesting city fits all the sterotypes I’ve imagine: Over-crowed, Extremely Rude people, So many yellow cabs, Extremely heavy traffic, Great shopping places.

Things that surprised me: not as “dangerous” as I’ve imagined, crime rates’ been down in recent years. Very cheap chinese food in China town. Extremely narrow streets.

It’s much colder than Southern California. Much more windy, very foggy in the morning. Doesn’t quite fit the “California” image.

San Francisco is also one of the most fasinating city with very many old buildings, famous up-down hills, and 50’s light rails. Very classy and elegent city. Also a lot more old people than LA. One of the oldest China town in the country. Extremely rich in culture and less racially-divided than LA.

One of the best state to living if you love the ocean. I’ve been to San Francisco, San Diego, and Lived in LA for 4 years. Love California but don’t like the people there.

Pro: Friendly people, racially diversified. Many places to visit, twin city. Low housing cost, low living cost, good schools ranks high in nation. Many high-tech companies. Good high way traffic system made for smooth driving.

Con: Too hot in summer (over 100 degrees for almost 3 months), too cold in winter (every other year there are snow storms). Spring and Fall too short. Dry heat in summer. Huge Tornados. Conservative people. Little night life.

Very crowed city, racially diversified and unfortunately divided. Entertainment capital of the US. Great places to visit. Beautiful weather, beautiful beaches. Unfriendly people, rude drivers, too much traffic. Often spot movie stars in Hollywood area. Many night clubs, some you can not even get in without invitations. Very young and energetic city.
