Palace of Versailles

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

This may seem really obvious to everyone, but my tip is: make sure you bring extra batteries to your camera.

When I was there, some 5 years ago, my photocamera and my videocamera died simultaneously. No joke! So I have nothing from my visit there…not cool at all…=( Because of this, I’m definitely going back. It was stunning!

South Africa

(in Africa)
What I want to do at this place

We are going to South Africa in 2010 for the world championship of football. Not so much for the football (that’s for the guys), but to visit. My friend is originally from Botswana, and he’s been in South Africa several times, so we’re going to get our very own, personal guide.=)

Alanya

(in Turkey)

Worth visiting!

Alanya = tourist trap, but....

it’s beautiful none the less. Alanya is made for holiday fun – sunbathing and clubbing.

Gran Canaria

Worth visiting!

Untitled

Gran Canaria is the number one holiday destination for scandinavians. Unfortunately, that shows. It’s packed with tourists everywhere.
But if you’re looking for sandy beaches, a pulsing nighlife and nothing but lazy days, this is the place for you.

Tenerife

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

When you go to Tenerife, you have to visit Teide, Spain’s highest mountain. It’s amazing!
The drive up is like a visit to the moon. There’s black sand and lavarocks everywhere, and the mountain itself is beautiful. To be recommended!

Parga

(in Greece > Epiros > Preveza)

Worth visiting!

Untitled

Amazing scenery, great nighlife and not too many scandinavian tourists – just the way I like it.

I think that Parga has to be the most beautiful ’’beach city’’ I’ve ever been to. The hotels are masked as villas, and the pools are behind the hotels, so when you walk the streets, it looks like any small southern european town.

It’s not too hot during the summer since it is in the north of Greece, and there are many opportunities to visit the greek islands and even Albania. (We really wanted to go to Albania, but we were visiting for just a week, so they didn’t have time to make visas for us…shame!) And if you’re staying for longer than a week, you have to do something other than sunbathing or shopping. We got through the whole town in 3 days or so.

Antibes-Juan-les-Pins

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I’ve been to Juan les Pins several times (it’s actually where my boyfriend proposed=), and each time I discover something different. The embience of the town is amazing, and the nightlife is great.
Everything is within walking distance and it’s really easy to go on a day trip to Cannes, Nice or Monaco.
