I think I would have to argue that Sea World is nothing compared to this place. I almost didn’t go, but I’m so glad I did.

I thought this was a really charming place. Glad I went even though my mom was convinced I would get mugged. Whatev.

Really laid back. Not nearly as touristy as I expected.

I was really excited to see the Moulin Rouge, but it is way to expensive for most students to see the show. However, if you are planning to go there and stay in a hostel, check out Caulaincourt Square Hostel. I can’t say it was the cleanest or most accommodable hostel I stayed while jumping from place to place, but it is within a few minutes walking distance from Moulin Rouge and the red light district.

If you want to check out the Eiffel Tower but don’t have your heart set on going to the top, check out Sacre-Coeur. You will have to walk a bunch of steps or take the ski lift thingy, but it is free, and you get a similar view. Its just north of the Gare do Nord station.

The first time I went to this place I almost got hit by a car. The Arc is surrounded by a five or six lane round about. I’m sure the locals love tourists running around in traffic:) Careful!

After the fact, I found out a ton about architecture. I don’t think I could retell in accurately, but it is worth looking up.

I know nothing about art, so I don’t know if I really appreciate the Mona Lisa. Still, I’m glad to say I’ve seen it. Wow, check out all the people in front of me. I wasn’t going to mosh my way any closer. It was brutal!

You will never believe how huge this place is expecially to someone that knows nothing about art!

If you get a chance, check out the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. It isn’t cheap and the they building isn’t that impressive, but the performance makes up for all of that.

I stayed at Brasenose College, Oxford University for the summer in 2005. I loved it there. I really don’t think that people who live there appreciate how beautiful the entire town is, but, to a girl from a country town in the US, I was blown away!
