Bicycles are a handy way to get around Copenhagen . . . especially when it’s sunny. It’s a very flat place with lots of infrastructure in place for people who use bikes as their main form of transportation.

It was between Christmas and New Year’s. The weather was grey and gloomy and I didn’t actually see much.

So I must go there again!

. . . I was surprised at how expensive it was. I don’t know how the average Russian can afford certain things. We paid about £80 a night for our hotel. And eating out was not cheap either.

Apart from that, I was also surprised at how fashion-conscious Russian women are. There are so many designer shops!

The photo is of the GUM store – former State Department Store. It’s now a shopping arcade with designer shops.
