The naval museum is pretty cool. Also, if you go here, you should take a ride on a boat. But make sure the boat you take does more than just float around the docks, like the one I took did. The park outside the naval museum is nice. Also, there is a huge mall next to the park and the docks. The mall is connected to a parking garage, so that’s convenient. And when you’re in Norfolk, under no circumstances should you go to a restaurant called The Painted Tea Lady. It was horrible.

The beaches are like enormously, stupidly long. They are also very, very dirty because people drive all over them.

This park is gigantic. There are a million roads and a zillion monuments. I got there at six AM and there was no one else there yet. So if you want to go when there is no one else, go at that time.

There is some watch tower type thing that is cool to climb up and look down over the whole park. I’m not sure what it was used for. I had stopped reading all the monuments. But it really looks cool.

Also, if you see the family cemetery in the middle of the park, there is one big tree inside it. It’s very pretty. So look for that.

This place was horrible and scary and the whole place is just one-way streets. I would never advise going here. Ever. Unless you’re accepted to Yale.

If you are going to Colonial Williamsburg, BRING LOTS OF BOTTLED WATER WITH YOU. The place is pretty big and you have to do a lot of walking. The people there will charge you an enormous amount of money for a bottled water. Definitely bring some with you.

Also, pretty much the best part of the place is listening to the guys speak. There are guys who dress up as Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson and give speeches and answer questions. I only got to listen to Thomas Jefferson, but it was the best part of my being there. The guy was awesome. He definitely played the part well. So you don’t want to miss out on that if you’re there.

Their driving is crazy! At some places, there are no street lights or anything- people just do whatever they want. But it is beautiful there.
