Musée D'Orsay

Worth visiting!

Van Gogh (eh) Gaugin (yea!)

More Van Gogh than I cared to see, and it was crowded with hoards of dutiful tourists rushing through spotting the “famous” pictures. I think the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam has a collection with more heart. However, if you make it to the Musee you shouldn’t miss the Gaugin wood carvings. They are truely lovely!

Hike the lost coast

It’s hard to get to, but isn’t that the point? You know you want to hike in a remote place, right?

Tour Eiffel

Worth visiting!

A great public park

When you realize that the eiffel tower is actually like Golden Gate park for the French and not just a tourist trap, you can enjoy it more. Great place to watch kids and dogs. I always appreciate 19th century buildings, and this one is a doozy. Pretty at night when they turn on the lights.

nice walk outside, skip the tour

Yes, it’s a big church. You’ll have more fun people-watching outside.

Randolph

Worth visiting!

My home town

I grew up in Randolph. You wouldn’t expect it, but NJ has severe weather. Hot muggy summers, cold icy winters. I can say I saw the most beautiful winter day in my life in Randolph. Overnight rain turned to ice and snow when the temp dropped. In the morning, the skies were clear, and all the twigs and leaves had a shiny coating of ice. It was a wonderland.
