New York City, New York State

NYC in 2007

Visited NYC for the first time in March 2007 when I went to the 4Cs. I stayed in Manhattan in the Times Square/Theatre District area. While there, I ate some great food (including dinner at Sardi’s), saw Central Park, FAO Schwarz, the NYC Apple Store, took in a Broadway show, had a couple of celebrity sightings, rode in plenty of cabs and on the subway, visited Greenwich Village, saw a couple of old friends, and got worn the hell out! Would I do it again? Well, only because I know my partner wants to go and I’d like to see the friend who lives there again. Is it someplace that’s high on my priority list to revisit? NO!

Williamsburg, Virginia

Untitled

We had a wonderful time visiting the entire Historical Triangle: Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown. We were there for only a weekend, but we could have spent an entire week and kept ourselves entertained easily!

River Walk, San Antonio

But you've got to go to the NICE part...

Skip the really touristy section in downtown SA, and go just south of downtown to the King William district. The section of the Riverwalk here is wide, quiet, and beautiful. The homes are large and stretch right down to the river, and you can visit the Pioneer Mills factory store and restaurant on one side of the river, and on the other, you can visit San Antonio’s thriving arts district, complete with coffee and tea shops and cafes.
