This side of the island is so nostalgic and rustic, that it reminded me of home, yet it was still full of interesting places to shop for leis and island accesories, eat wonderful food, and walk beautiful beaches.

my favorite part was the hats we took back home with us.

It gets old once you go all the time, but the lights shows are cool, and that sculture is absolutely breathtaking. BUT, don’t be stupid and hike UP the mountain then take the tram down like me and my friends did. Try it the other way, unless you’re one of those hiking types, then go right ahead.

We went on a field trip one year, and I couldn’t have been happier with the time spent there. The wild horses are absolutely beautiful.

I lived here and I hated every second of it.

the train systems. Unless you’re late for your flight, then I don’t like them. But this place is way too big (and spread out) for its own good.

Since i live on the island, I get to check out a lot of hidden things. The theatre groups over here are probably something that the tourists over look alot. Some of the best high school and profession plays I have ever seen in my life were at the Castle Theaters and Paliku Theaters in this part of the island. Not to mention Haleiwa Joe’s a wonderful restaurant that we all like to spend time at after the shows. And the drive over there is spectacular, too. When it rains, the mountains lining H3 spill waterfalls over the sides of the road. So it’s not a danger to the cars (usually) but it’s a tempting distraction.

This is actually the hottest spot of the island to me. Surf contests during the winter, and lots of cool restaurants to eat, it’s really kinda laid back. I like it there, and me and my friends skip waikiki or honolulu and go there all the time.

I actually live here. Oahu is not that grand to me. It’s beautiful, and it’s not boring, BUT it’s just like any other place, except surrounded by water. And the damn geckos, they drive me insane. And there are the hugest centipedes I have ever seen. And we’re in our winter season right now which means …. rain rain rain & more rain. Flash flood anyone?
