I just went here this pass weekend for 3 full days and I still haven’t seen everything! I absolutely adore Chicago!

This is where I attended school. I will be graduating in a few weeks. It has been the best, meeting new people through dorms and in classes… I will always remember the good times.

My dad plans on visiting this country to this one convention of which is held by the organization where you can sponsor a child in need (I don’t remember the name of the organization). My dad sponsored a child from Honduras and he would get the chance to meet the child. He also invited me to come along (actually more of me telling him that I want to go too). So, we will go sometime in September next year. I will go for about a week or 2 after my big trip to Europe that summer. I will meet him in Honduras. I’m so excited!

Puerto Vallarta anyone? My friend bought an apartment in the making last year and now it is finally all built. He offered me to stay there whenever I want to go. Awesome yeah? I’m thinking maybe for a few days there after this semester ends right before I start summer school. ^_

The few things I’m actually really proud of is we are the “Home of the Strawberries”, we’re one of the leading towns for harvesting strawberries. You can find strawberry stands every few feet in the back roads. For one flat, it is about $10 – and that’s a lot! Best time to get some is in May; we have the annual strawberry festival. Oxnard is also the “Gateway to the Channel Islands” (ex: Anacapa, Santa Catalina, Santa Cruz). And of course, I love the beaches (it’s also close to Malibu and Ventura). I love hiking in Sycamore Canyon and the old Victorian houses in downtown Oxnard (they were the firsts when this town was young).

Take it from a true Oxnard native. I was born and raised here. In the early years (80s & 90s), it was actually great. Not that much traffic, more farmland therefore more scenery, less houses, less gangs, and nicer people. Since the real estate boom came in, more and more houses are being built nonstop, destroying our farmlands, inconsiderate people on the road and more gangs. Oh, how I miss the good ’ol days…

However, after living here for all my life, I finally moved out and went to college just a little over a year ago. I’m so glad I don’t live there anymore because I’m the kind of person to travel and explore new things and possibilities. I do come back every now and then just to visit my family and friends who are still there. I know I’ve listed a few good things about the place, but I there will always be those memories of my past – things that I want to forget; that hurts me… I just want to move on, enjoy the present, and look to the future.

ive started my travelling journey in 2006 and i want to keep doing it even though i know i have to save up big time because every time i come back from trips i end up being broke…literally! i believe that its worth it though. so i dont regret it. next year i hope to go to australia and new zealand and visit my friends there. i would love to visit the beautiful countries and their beauties/landmarks and exotic animals…

Well, I just got approved by my program advisor from school that I can go study abroad for the winter break in Thailand, just for a couple weeks, but it’s gonna be very worth it. The course is supposedly on health science international health, but I can still take it and satisfy my health care administration global health issues. I’m so excited to go! Perhaps, after the trip I can stay a couple days in China (since that’s our stop in between Thailand and USA)…I don’t know… ^_
