over 4 years agoNormally, people who go to Iligan consult with a tour guide or bring someone who knows a bit about the place, otherwise, you’ll risk getting lost. The name Tinago Falls is apt since “Tinago” means “hidden” in Filipino. There are so few road signs that should point the way up the mountain. Once you arrive, you pay only 10Php (2007) to get in then it’s 365 steps down (and 365 steps up) to Tinago Falls. It’s a bit steep and not advisable for people with heart problems but once you get down the steps, the view is SO worth it. There are very few people who go there to swim and so the area is very clean. A dip in the cool water is not at all that chilly but is as soft almost like cool gel. A lot of thrillseekers try climbing to dive but before you should do so, watch out for the rocks! It’s not just a destination for me. It’s an unforgettable experience.
over 4 years agoI went to Vietnam just to soak in all that history and eat all those delicious dishes with noodles and spice. Most of their museums, war tunnels, and torture chambers really gave me the creeps. Some of my photos didn’t turn out well, like this one of the wall…it’s supposedly one of the many walls where they shot their prisoners. War is truly horrifying. And yet, its persistence in our civilization is both a testimony to our stupidity and bloodlust. Modern men claim to have evolved. Who knows. Maybe, we never really left the caves.
