I was actually born in San Francisco, so perhaps I’m a bit partial towards it. However, it still a great city and maintains its unique character. This is a plus since much of the Bay Area consists of culture-free mini-malls and tract-homes.

I went there in 1993 with my cousin. I had a pretty good time, but got thrown out of the stock exchange for make three stooges hand gestures at the floor traders…

One of the biggest bookstores west of the Rocky Mountains, this 5 store bookstore takes up one city block. Offering both new and used books, you can find just about anything here and cheap too!!!

I’ve lived in Portland for the last 12 years, first to got medical school, and then I just came to really enjoy the laid back culture of “Stump Town”. There are many unique experiences to be had here. Worth a visit for sure, and a fine place to live.
