Went shore diving the first day. Two Tank Dive in the morning and One in the Afternoon. Wednesday was a two tank dive in the morning and a night dive. Thursday was a two tank in the morning and another afternoon.
Water was 80 degrees. Air temp was perfect. Some rain but you don’t much care at 90 feet.
Water clarity was super

I’ve been many places but never Maine. And it fits in two of my things to do – 50 states and “I’ve been everywhere”. I was thinking of a road trip, in the fall when leaves are changing. Any recommedations on things to do? (Acadia and Bangor are on the short list)?

A great place to visit. Spurs, Riverwalk, Alamo, Sea World, Fiesta Texas. Great food.

I may be biased. I left Texas on a business trip Jan 3. It was 50 degrees. The only jacket I had was more of a fleece lined wind breaker. I normally don’t even wear a jacket – ever. And I was only going to be there a week – no need to buy a new jacket to wear three days.
We arrived at about 9PM. It was 20 below zero. I have lived in North Dakota and Alaska so I know about loose and layered. So it was not too bad.
But there was really not much to do besides “drink” inside where it was warm.
By the time I got back, the outer shell of the jacket had small tears all over it where it had frozen and cracked.

Lived there three years. Took the ferry from Seattle to get there. Drove back through Whitehorse in the Yukon to Montana. Lived in the Tanana Valley. Took Salmon from the Copper River. Deep Sea fishing from Seward. Visited to the end of the Aleutians.
Camped in August near a glacier – the next morning the drinking water was frozen – in August.

Go ahead and rent a car – learn to negotiate the roundabouts. HAHAHA,
We rented this car one day to go see a castle. And my Air Force buddy is complaining about my driving and directions the whole time. So we’re driving down this ity bity country road on the wrong (left?) side. And there is this tall corn (as tall as they grow it in Iowa) on the left (passenger) side. So the visibility isn’t very far down the road. When we meet this British Army TANK coming down the road about 60 miles an hour with it’s tracks running over the centerline.
It is truly amazing how skinny an automobile can get although I must admit, I now know how they use machinery to harvest corn. You hit that stuff going 60 and the corn just flies off.
Oh yea, my buddy.. got real quiet till we got to the Castle

Anyway, it is understandable that ancient people would chose to build here. The one thing that sticks with me abolut the visit is that the “place” feels good. Very inspirational
