Worth visiting!
Hell I don't know
It’s not worth visiting, except that I want to go back. But that’s cause I’d like to go see people. The place itself, not so much.

And still have family there. Anyone who goes there to visit is either a big fan of American military history (Kimball has the world’s densest concentration of ICBM’s) or some kind of weirdo. End of story.

It was eye-opening to see just how rude and mean people can be to each other even when they are at a sacred shrine.

Planning on going over Mother’s Day weekend this year (May 1214), to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Mothering magazine.

Worth visiting!
We go several times a year; have had the pass for almost two full years now, and we still use it a lot. Just went yesterday, in fact.

A very good friend of ours is from Bangladesh, and is currently in the U.S. on a Fullbright. One of the stipulations is that he go back for two years, so this May he and his family (his wife is also a very dear friend, and they have a daughter who’s six months old). His wife is American, and has never been to Bangladesh.
So we have quite a few good reasons to visit, it seems. A great opportunity to travel abroad and hang out with a friend who happens to be a native. Also a nice thing to do for his wife, as I imagine she’ll be getting a bit homesick by next summer. Plus, this would be the first trip abroad with the kids. Which should be a lot of fun.
We’re getting excited. We’re also starting to get prepared. Need to find out all about taking kids overseasimmunizations, passports, etc. Oy.

After reading the descriptions on here, I’m not so sure. Sounds like it’s basically just a great place to go to college, and drink. I’m done with college, and pretty much done with (regularly) drinking in bars. So probably not my kind of place, I guess. Oh well.

As you’re heading back out the door, you’ll be plagued by a nagging suspicion that you didn’t actually see all of it. Surely there must be more, if they’re going to call it a museum.
Nope, that’s it.

My wife really wants to go; she’s heard/read a lot of really good things about it, and about NM in general. I wouldn’t mind going either.

Some web site once told me that this was one of my ideal places to live. I don’t know about that, but it got me looking at things about the city, and it does seem like a cool place. I’d love to see if that impression is correct.
